The Trinity
One God eternally existing in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Plural unity in the Old Testament
The Hebrew word Elohim (H430) is grammatically plural yet paired with singular verbs of divine action — opening the door to inner-personal distinction within the one God of Israel.
The Word was God
John 1:1 distinguishes the Logos from the Father ("with God") while affirming full deity ("was God"). The Word then becomes flesh (John 1:14) — the Son sharing the Father's glory.
Triune baptism formula
Jesus commands baptism into the singular 'name' (not names) of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19) — one name, three Persons.
